Studio Policy

The following Studio Policy applies to all customers, renters, members, and visitors to The Loft Dance Studio. By attending the studio or making a purchase, you agree to the terms outlined below.

1. Payments

  • All prices are listed in euro (€) and include VAT where applicable.

  • Payment must be made in full at the time of purchase.

  • All payments are non-refundable except where required under Irish consumer law.

2. Cancellations & Refunds

  • Cancellations for classes, workshops, events or other services must follow the cancellation policies published on our website.

  • Refunded credits onto Customers account will only be issued where:

    • The Loft Dance Studio cancels a class, workshop or event; or

    • A refund is required under Irish consumer protection legislation.

  • No refunds or credits are provided for missed classes, late arrivals or unused services.

3. Transfers & Credits

  • Class passes, event tickets and other purchases are non-transferable unless expressly agreed by The Loft Dance Studio.

  • Credits issued by The Loft may include an expiry date and are not exchangeable for cash.

4. Pricing & Changes

  • The Loft reserves the right to update pricing, promotions and services at any time.

  • For recurring payments (such as memberships), any price change will be communicated in advance in accordance with Irish consumer law.

5. Payment Issues

  • If a payment fails due to insufficient funds, expired card details, or other issues, customers must update their payment method promptly.

  • Access to classes or services may be paused until outstanding payments are settled.

  • Administrative or late fees may be applied where appropriate and lawful.

6. Safety & Participation

  • By participating in any class or activity, customers confirm they are medically fit to take part and understand that dance and physical activity carry inherent risks.

  • The Loft is not liable for injuries, loss, or damage to personal property except where liability cannot be excluded under Irish law.

7. Conduct & Studio Rights

  • The Loft reserves the right to refuse service or remove any participant whose behaviour is unsafe, disruptive or inappropriate.

  • Payments will not be refunded where a participant is removed due to misconduct.

8. Personal Data & GDPR

  • Personal data is processed in accordance with GDPR and Irish data protection laws.

  • Payment information is handled securely and is never stored in full by The Loft.

9. Photography & Media

  • Classes or events may occasionally be photographed or filmed for promotional purposes. All participants will be warned and asked in advance of any filming and given the option of not being included.

  • Anyone who prefers not to appear may notify The Loft Team before, during or even after.

10. CCTV & Studio Security

To help maintain a safe and secure environment, CCTV operates within parts of the studio premises.

  • CCTV is used for safety, security, monitoring entry and exit, and general operational management.

  • Class occupancy monitoring relates only to classes operated by The Loft Dance Studio.

  • CCTV is not used to monitor teaching performance.

  • The system records video only and does not record audio.

  • Footage is retained for up to 14 days and is automatically deleted unless required for investigation purposes or where a dispute arises.

  • Access to CCTV footage is restricted to the studio owner only.

  • CCTV signage is displayed on the premises to notify all visitors.

11. Governing Law

These policies are governed by the laws of Ireland. Any disputes arising under these terms will be managed in accordance with Irish legal procedures and consumer protection legislation.

By attending the studio or completing any purchase with The Loft Dance Studio, customers acknowledge and agree to this Studio Policy.
